Description:
The Accounts Assistant will be accountable for taking charge of the daily accounting function including credit control procedures and preparation of financial reports suitable for presentation.
This is a full-time permanent position, and the successful candidate will work Tuesday-Thursday 9am- 5.00pm with 1 day at home
Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Bank and credit card processing and reconciliations.
- Creditors reconciliation and preparation of monthly supplier payment list.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Liaising with internal staff in relation to general finance queries.
- Dealing with supplier queries.
- Preparation and processing of electronic transfers and payments for authorization.
- Recording and posting transactions to the accounting system (SAGE).
- Performing the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgers, including bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist and support with annual statutory audits.
- Assist with revenue and reconciliations.
- Ad hoc duties when required.
Attributes & Skills
- Strong use of Excel.
- Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong use of Excel.
- Familiar with accounting packages such as Sage.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Clear communicator.
- Close attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
