Accounts & Office Administrator

 

Description:

The Accounts & Office Administrator will be a key member of the Local Energy Agency team supporting both the internal team administration, accounting system and related communications with clients and suppliers. The Accounts & Office Administrator will also collaborate and share tasks with the other Local Energy Agencies.

Roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

o Accounts administration, including payroll, accounts payable/ receivable, processing expenses, effective budget and cash flow management

o Managing company accounts using SAGE Accounting software & online banking system

o Liaison with the company accountant on accounts management, reconciliation and year end processes.

o Managing project files, office procurement and databases

o Preparation of documents for internal reporting, suppliers and clients while ensuring accuracy and integrity of information

o Acting as first point of contact for client enquiries, handling enquiries and coordinating and assigning as appropriate

o Working with the Energy Agency Team to develop and maintain internal procedures

o Contribute and assist with the implementation of new processes/ systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

o Working with the Energy Agency Team to compile project reports in a timely and efficient manner.

o Ad hoc administrative duties as may be required by the Business

 

Essential candidate requirements:

· Minimum 3 year of (i.e. Accounts) demonstrable relevant experience

· NFQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline

· Competent in use of Accounting software e.g. SAGE or similar

· ECDL or equivalent

· Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint etc.)

· Demonstrable ability to work in a dynamic team

· Ability to manage own workload and plan, organise and implement tasks with minimal supervision

· Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines

· Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.

· Proven ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment where flexibility and reliability are essential

· Independent and professional, with a calm and composed approach
