This is a field-based role covering Ireland, with a primary focus on supporting customers across Dublin and the wider territory. The role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory.
The Affera Mapping Specialist serves as a clinical and technical expert supporting electrophysiology procedures and the adoption of Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions technologies. Working closely with physicians, hospital staff, sales teams, and clinical stakeholders, this role provides procedural support, customer education, and technical expertise to drive safe and effective use of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and technical support during electrophysiology procedures utilizing the Cardiac Ablation Solutions portfolio.
- Deliver product, procedural, and workflow training to physicians, clinical staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Support the safe and effective use of Cardiac Ablation Solutions technologies through on-site case coverage and customer education.
- Provide technical expertise on three-dimensional mapping systems and support simple to semi-complex electrophysiology mapping procedures.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to address customer needs and support technology adoption.
- Serve as a technical resource for customer engagements, territory activities, and clinical discussions.
- Build and maintain strong, ethical relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Communicate customer feedback, procedural insights, and market observations to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree OR master's degree with clinical, technical, or medical device experience.
- Clinical electrophysiology experience supporting electrophysiology procedures and workflows.
- Experience supporting three-dimensional cardiac mapping systems in a clinical environment.
- Experience supporting simple to semi-complex electrophysiology mapping procedures with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel extensively within Ireland and provide field-based customer support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cardiac ablation technologies within the electrophysiology market.
- Demonstrated experience delivering clinical and technical training to physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of cryoablation and pulsed field ablation technologies.
- Experience in a medical device clinical specialist, field clinical specialist, or technical consultant role.
- Cryoablation and PulseSelect product certification or experience supporting these procedures.
