Assistant Finance Executive

 

Description:

The primary focus for this role is on checking overseas bank accounts and ensuring that all overseas bank reconciliations are accurate and that all information and back up documentation is received on a timely basis. The training and support of both Local Administrators and Overseas Office Directors is a critical tenet for this role.

This role is also responsible for compiling the monthly Debtors reconciliation, raising of ad hoc invoicing, Administration Own Resource Income tracking and other ad hoc tasks

 

Key Tasks:

  • Process overseas accounts, petty cash accounts. Ensure that interim returns are received on a timely basis for budget reporting purposes and for audit purpose.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of overseas bank and petty cash accounts to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in training new administrative staff in overseas offices regarding monthly bank and petty cash returns.
  • Liaise with overseas staff and office administrators to ensure that bank and petty cash returns are received on a timely basis.
  • Deal with staff queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Continue to manage the Debtor book management through the Centos Sales Ledger, debtor cash allocations and assist in the ongoing debtor reporting/reconciliations.
  • Assist in the monitoring and reconciliation of Debtor accounts on a monthly basis and the associated PMC/RDPC reporting
  • Monitor and review the Admin. Budget Own Resource Income
  • Other ad hoc duties that may be assigned related to overseas banks and overseas staff payments.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A third level business related qualification to Level 7 standard on the National Qualification Framework is essential. Pursuing an Accounting qualification would be an advantage;
  • Driving Licence desirable;
  • Proficiency and experience in the use of Word, Excel and financial software together with a good understanding of Information Management;
  • Team player with initiative and ability to solve problems;
  • Ability to continually improve and develop in all areas of financial reporting, financial processing and financial control;
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
