Associate Director Of Information Technology

 

Description:

As the IT Associate Director you will be responsible for leading all aspects of IT system operation in the Ireland site which includes but not limited to server, end user device, data voice networking, security and SOP execution following enterprise IT operation SOP and policy.

 

Your Responsibilities

· In this role, you will develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with IT leaders in the Global Regional team

· Communicates to the business the global IT strategy for projects and operational plans that impact their area

· Provides input into the development of the regional or global IT strategy

· Communicates issues and successes up and down the organization including business stakeholders

· Oversee operations of the information systems, including local area networks and wide area networks, telecommunications, electronic health records, databases, imaging and office automation

· Local partner and lead the development of enterprise-wide standards for infrastructure, including the collection of hardware, software, networks, data centers, facilities and related equipment used to develop, test, operate, monitor, manage and/or support information technology services, and ensures compatibility and integration of systems with other IT platforms

· Provide strategic direction regarding IT Operations, including helpdesk, application engineering, and installation and maintenance of networks, server, hardware, software, and telecommunications systems; and provides thought leadership in IT strategy, operational efficiency, cost-optimization, and innovation

· Develop and maintain a system recovery plan in the event of power failure, damage to system, etc.

· Facilitate correction of any system failures and ensure availability of a system, etc.

· Oversee the development, maintenance, and communication of systems documentation, policies, and procedures

· Provide input into the development of the IT department budget and manage the operational budget, including making major purchasing decisions

· Review for approval, all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members as appropriate

· Accountable for ensuring vendor relationships meet the needs through service delivery and performance guarantees

· Accountable for securing the organizations networks, systems, applications, and data from internal and external threats

· Establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information security function

· Develops and implements information security and disaster recovery programs in accordance with organizational information security standards

· Lead responses to and recoveries from security incidents

· Evaluates information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness within the organization

· Identify and propose security solutions, approving requirements, overseeing trials and evaluations

· Deliver management and executive level KRI, KPI, and SLA reporting regarding security, risk, and effectiveness of mitigation

· Perform all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and controlled documents

· Will be flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Head of IT for Ireland

· Will act as a role model for the IT function and the wider organisation in adherence to the corporate core values and PROUD culture.
