Description:
We are seeking experienced Automation Engineers with strong DeltaV design and commissioning expertise to support a large-scale facility project. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex utility systems within a regulated life sciences environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and configuration of DeltaV automation systems for utility processes (e.g. WFI, Purified Water, Clean Steam, Chiller Controls, Process Air Distribution).
- Act as the interface between process engineering and the automation system integrator, ensuring accurate translation of process requirements into DeltaV software design.
- Develop and review automation documentation, including process descriptions, narratives, and functional specifications in line with industry standards (S88).
- Support the transition from design to commissioning, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated DeltaV and equipment commissioning/qualification.
- Provide expertise in interpreting P&IDs and process design information into automation solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation design and commissioning for black and clean utilities in pharma, biotech, or life sciences.
- Strong background in DeltaV configuration within an S88 structure.
- Proven ability to work with process design teams and translate requirements into automation deliverables.
- Solid understanding of GMP, validation, and qualification practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise between engineering and automation partners.
