As a Resident Engineer you will work with Uisce Éireann framework providers to ensure each project is constructed to the specified quality standards. The work will involve major water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including new water and wastewater treatment plants and upgrades, pumping stations, water supply schemes, WwBG sewer rehab and reservoirs projects across all counties in the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of site-based infrastructure projects on behalf of Uisce Éireann, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, programme, and cost requirements.
  • Review and monitor Contractor documentation and performance, including HSQE submissions (RAMS, TMPs), CEMPs, quality plans, and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety reviews, and quality audits, ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and approved proposals, and assist with incident investigations as required.
  • Supervise construction activities, maintain detailed project records, and support the coordination and monitoring of commissioning works to achieve timely project completion.
  • Administer commercial aspects of contracts, including assessment of interim and final accounts, variations, claims, and contractor performance against KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with the Project Team, Employer’s Representative, Local Authorities, utility providers, landowners, and the public to ensure coordinated project delivery.
