Computer Aided Design Software Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer – CAD/EDA Implementation to become a key contributor within our Global SoC Engineering organization in Cork.

In this role, you will help define and enhance sophisticated RTL-to-GDSII design flows used to deliver advanced, low-power, high-performance SoCs powering cutting-edge products worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, automate, and optimize Implementation CAD solutions and reference design flows
• Support full project lifecycle delivery ensuring quality, stability, and performance of CAD tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development phases to ensure seamless execution
• Collaborate with global teams to uphold coding standards and robust development practices
• Drive improvements to workflows, QA processes, documentation, and build environments
• Provide hands-on support and debugging assistance to internal design teams

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 2+ years in ASIC development (design, verification, validation, or integration)
• OR
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 1+ year relevant industry experience
• Strong understanding of SoC design and EDA workflows is highly desirable
