Description:

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician based just outside Drogheda Co. Louth. The CAD Technician will prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models for bespoke furniture and accesories, ensuring designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements. Daily tasks include updating drawings based on feedback, maintaining design documentation, and collaborating with customers and production and technical teams to resolve design issues. The role involves checking dimensions and tolerances and assisting in implementing design changes to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. The CAD Technician will also help maintain CAD libraries, follow company standards, and contribute to smooth coordination between design and workshop activities.

 

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Operating Systems used in a technical design environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • Attention to detail with strong spatial, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to liase with customers on their desired design specications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and management teams.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant technical qualification or certification in CAD or a related field is beneficial.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or furniture-related environment is an advantage but not essential.
