Job Description
EHS Engineer is required for a leading chemical company in Cork County. This role will support manufacturing operations and with a key focus on the EHS system. This is a broad role in a busy manufacturing site supplying to the Biopharma, Pharma, Food and Dairy industries.
Role of this position
- Management of various standards in particular ISO 45001 in a 365/24/7 operation..
- Ensuring Internal/External audits are managed, lead on HSA Audits.
- Safety Risk Management and Risk assessments.
- Reviewing CAMS and issuing Work Permits
- Head up the Site EHS Committee and drive Safety Culture.
- Be a part of the Site operations team working closely with other team members on Quality, Environment, Energy and Food Safety standards and meeting targets.
- Make sure that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes.
- Creation of safety documentation and review of SOPs for the facility in line with industry standards
- Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure the maintenance of standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years ' experience with direct responsibility for site EHS. and 2-3 years' experience in running a site safety program.
- Level 7 degree, ideally related to workplace safety, industrial engineering, or similar discipline.
