Elearning Design Coordinator

 

Description:

Reporting to the Mental Health Promotion eLearning Lead, the eLearning Design Coordinator will work as part of the Mental Health Promotion Team on the development and implementation of Jigsaw's Mental Health Promotion programme of work. They will support the development of the Team's mental health courses, programmes and initiatives through the application of Instructional Design approaches and the creation of innovative, interactive and user-friendly eLearning resources and assets. They will also provide eLearning supports to Jigsaw services and functions. The post holder will be reliable, highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible in their approach to the work and be open and willing to contributing to the wider objectives of the organisation.

Please note: This is a full time, 12-month specific purpose (maternity cover) contract.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Mental Health Promotion Team in the development and implementation of Jigsaw's Mental Health Promotion programme of work.
  • Coordinate cross-functional eLearning and digital education projects across the organisation for both external and internal learner audiences.
  • Support other members of the Team in the development of eLearning content, including video, animations and audio and other graphic design elements.
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of the evaluation of eLearning courses and programmes, working with the Research and Evaluation Team as required.
  • Support the eLearning Lead and eLearning Administrator with the implementation and maintenance of an online, interactive Learning Management System to facilitate the management, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of our work across community and education settings.
  • Develop content for the various LMS portals including Jigsaw HR, working with subject matter experts across the organisation.
  • Support Jigsaw staff and external users of the Jigsaw eLearning platform.
  • Support the eLearning Administrator when needed with a range of activities across the online learner journey e.g. tech support, responding to queries, updating learner information.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of Jigsaw's Mental Health Promotion actions as set out in Jigsaw's organisational strategy.
  • Carry out other such duties as may reasonably be requested by Jigsaw to assist the advancement of the organisation's objectives.
     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria:
 

  • 3rd level qualification in a relevant area relating to the role outlined above.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in designing and developing eLearning content, including end-user training.
  • An extensive knowledge of Instructional Design Models.
  • Extensive experience of working with the Articulate 360 creative suite.
  • Extensive Experience of working with LearnUpon or similar Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with the Adobe creative suite (Premiere Pro, InDesign, Audition) or similar creative software.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and accessibility requirements for online content development.
  • Experience in creating and editing video and audio content.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong IT Skills e.g. Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent writing skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills including competence in presenting/training/facilitation.
  • Experience generating educational content for dissemination (e.g. training manuals, webinars, webpages, social media, toolkits), ideally with particular reference to youth mental health issues.
  • Ability to communicate and relate to a range of audiences (professionals, volunteers, parents, and young people).
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and work with flexibility, initiative, creativity and imagination.
  • Capacity to work both on own initiative and as part of a Team.
  • Strong organisational, project management and administration skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and set targets.
