Energy Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Energy Engineer who is passionate about climate action and is driven to help achieve the Climate Action Plan 2030 across homes and communities in the Southeast Region. The incoming individual is passionate and has the ability to learn, deliver accurate work on time, collaborate and support the delivery of projects across the energy agency.

What you will be doing

South East Energy Agency is working with various Clients, non-domestic and domestic in the public and private sectors to provide independent brokering & technical support and advice particularly in the Community undertaking sustainable energy projects. The Energy Engineer will work as part of a team and will have specific responsibility for:

• Delivering the Energy Management Programmes (ISO 500001 & Energy Map) for public sector partners
• Developing / updating the Local Authority energy policies & strategies in line with national obligations & targets
• Developing the pipeline of projects to support 2030 energy and GHG targets & setting out annual action plans for delivery
• Local & Regional Energy & Climate Planning advisor
• Energy and GHG data management activities & reporting delivery at a national and EU level
• Setting up Standard Operating Procedures for Significant Energy Users
• Conducting Energy Audits to SI 426 Standards
• Supporting project delivery
• Regional Energy & Climate Planning advisor
• Complete Regional & Local emissions inventories
• Annual Monitoring & Reporting to SEAI
• ISO50001 supports
• Mentoring Junior Engineers and Reporting to the Local Authority Project Lead on delivery and programmes.
