Description:
The Finance & Accounting Manager will partner with the in-country Finance teams to manage finance for an internal Accenture business. In addition to playing this key strategy and analysis role, the successful candidate will lead, coach and develop a local team and liaise and collaborate with our other offshore finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the customer relationship with the Gallia Financial Director and 3 local finance leads.
- Motivate and guide team members in their daily duties and achievement of set priorities.
- Participate in process improvement projects and initiatives
- Lead US GAAP reporting, including month, quarter and year end processes including analytical reviews of results
- Support and coach team members and ensure adequate succession planning is in place to ensure long-term performance of the team.
- Handle escalated queries and build strong country-based knowledge.
- Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records and internal financial controls. Keep abreast of Accenture/IFRS policies and ensure all entities are compliant.
- Responsibility for accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
- Facilitate and provide cross team support as required
- Provide reporting to leadership on issues, statistics, metrics and projects
- Liaise and manage relationship with internal and external auditors.
- Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of Accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP)
- Accounting background with strong analytical skills
