Description:
A Financial Analyst is required to support supplier onboarding and master data activities within a global finance shared services environment. This role combines operational finance support with analytical responsibility, ensuring supplier data integrity, compliance, and performance reporting across international markets. The position partners closely with finance, procurement, and business stakeholders and operates within a fast-paced, multinational environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and support supplier onboarding and supplier master data processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve supplier-related requests through a ticketing system, applying analytical judgement and root cause analysis where required.
- Maintain supplier records in line with internal policies, compliance requirements, and control frameworks.
- Support and drive adoption of self-service models within SAP/Ariba, ensuring data quality and process efficiency.
- Provide analytical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders across finance and business functions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and reporting objectives.
- Track, analyse, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs), productivity metrics, and KPIs.
- Support month-end activities, including data validation, reporting, and control checks related to supplier master data.
- Ensure SOX controls are embedded, monitored, and adhered to within relevant processes.
- Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities within supplier processes and recommend solutions.
- Support Finance Supervisors and project leads with analytical input for operational and project initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimisation.
- Provide cover for team members and support ad-hoc analysis or tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in a finance shared services environment within a multinational organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Accounting Technician qualification or part-qualified accountant status is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, with experience analysing and interpreting financial and operational data.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, or a similar ERP system.
- Experience working in SOX-controlled or regulated environments is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
