Financial Controller

 

Description:

We are seeking a Financial Controller for our client, based in the south east of Ireland

 

Key responsibilities

· Accountable and responsible for the finance function and all related activities, including accounting, reporting & controlling, taxation, banking etc, and also managing relationships with all the relevant stakeholders

· Manage the balance sheet and liquidity

· Safeguard the assets of the business

· Ensure controls, policies, books and records and statutory reporting exist, are accurate, are complete and are timely

· Provide accurate and timely management information, to include financial and operational key performance indicators and forecasts

· Work with the Chair and senior management to make business decisions and then to monitor and report on same

· Work with the Chair and the Board to devise the financial strategy, and then take responsibility for implementation and reporting

· Lead, develop and manage people, as appropriate

· Be capable of leading the financial function as the company enters a phase of even more rapid growth and international expansion

 

 

Person

Qualifications:

· A professional accounting qualification

· A university degree is also preferred

 

Experience:

· Accounting, reporting and controlling; Planning and forecasting; Tax preparation and planning; Decision-making; People management; Board level reporting and interaction

· A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience is preferred

  • · Senior strategic experience (financial & business) would be an advantage, and also experience of exporting or involvement in establishing new international markets
