Frontend Js Developer

Description:

Mifinity are looking for an experienced, creative and innovative Frontend JS Developer to join our Development team in Malta or Dublin.

Working within a small team, you will be primarily responsible to develop and test solutions according to day-to-day needs and new functionality requests. You will be also expected to contribute concurrently between different projects. The selected candidate would ideally have experience of various CMS platforms within the eCommerce field and demonstrate a strong command of JavaScript and the Angular framework. You will work on all aspects of the company’s applications, with the latest technologies and design.

You will be joining a brilliant team of software developers, full of energy, ambition and passion. Working together with your development team, you will be involved in building great products whilst working closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand requirements which will result in delivering the right thing.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the Product Development team and Maintaining the current code base and bug  fixing;
• Build product features in an SPA (Single Page Application) – mainly in Angular.
• Investigating new technologies and how these can be applied to better improve our current operations;
• Working closely with other staff and ensuring proper communication with other developers, designers, testers and business analysts for an efficient outcome.
• Build modular, and reusable code.
• Updating the code with added features on request of operations team;
• Writing documentation for new features;
• Providing efficient design and coding;

Ideal Candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, software engineering or a similar field; or equivalent experience;
• Previous work experience in a similar position preferably in the eCommerce sector
• Experience with CMS platforms and plugin development;
• Excellent knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5;
• Eye for design and basic understanding of UI and UX;
• Good knowledge Web Components and JavaScript ES6;
• Good knowledge of Angular and TypeScript;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Able to work at own initiative and part of a team;
• Fluent in English.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of PHP language.
• Experience in Agile development.
• Contributions to open-source (E.g. Github)
