Description:

European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading semicon company, based in the county Cork area, who are looking for a talented GPU Digital Design Engineer to join their team.

 

Responsibilities as GPU Digital Design Engineer:

  • Design and micro-architect RTL for various components and modules within the GPU architecture, including shader processing, graphics pipelines, memory subsystems, interconnects, and power/system-level design.
  • Identify innovative approaches to optimize hardware designs for enhanced performance, power efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Assess the feasibility of complex algorithms and requirements from a hardware perspective.
  • Develop the microarchitecture and specifications for next-generation designs.
  • Create RTL code that aligns with the defined microarchitecture.
  • Conduct critical verification and debugging tasks for the design throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Work to reduce silicon costs and improve clock speeds.
  • Diagnose and resolve silicon-related issues for products associated with the specific design.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog design, Synopsys synthesis, low-power design techniques, test plan creation, and coverage-based design verification.
  • Familiarity with computer architecture, computer arithmetic, low-power design, and programming in C/C++/Python is preferred.
  • Experience in designing RTL for GPU, CPU, DSP, machine learning, cache, controller, video, display, and camera modules in ASIC is a plus.
  • Exposure to graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan, Direct3D, etc., is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset are essential.
