As the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing and public relations strategy.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

  • To build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
  • To work with the Sales and Marketing Team, in promoting and marketing the hotel, on both a national and an international level, to raise the brand profile, to retain and maintain existing business and develop new business, resulting in increased sales and profitability.
  • To support the development and implementation of clear marketing campaigns both online and offline strategies to achieve KPI sales for the business.
  • Reporting the department’s progress and results on a weekly and monthly basis and compiling and executing a “Quarterly Marketing Content Calendar”.
  • Creating an annual marketing and public relations plan for the hotel as part of the overall Sales & Marketing Strategy Plan.
  • Internally, the role of the Digital and Social Media Manager reports directly to this role of Head of Marketing & Communications.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing and public relations strategy for the Hotel alongside the coordination and management of all marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorships with a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of the current and future target customer personas.
  • To oversee and monitor all online and digital content in association with the DMM.
  • A keen awareness of the factors that influence the hotel and the industry forms part of the overall strategy.
  • Understanding of display, PPC, and other paid advertising channels and new opportunities for the hotel as it transitions into the High-end international Leisure market.
  • To work in conjunction with the Sales, Digital Marketing and Revenue Team, to increase all revenue streams, ensuring budgeted sales are met by attracting new business with an effective and clear marketing message both offline and digitally for the hotel.
  • Ensuring the website is optimized, content is current, user friendly, and sleek on both desktop and mobile, and always thinking of improvements to be made.
  • Monthly calls with our key agencies in association with the hotel’s Digital Marketing Manager to best deliver our desired outcomes.
  • Working alongside our General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing and our People & Culture Manager to deliver an on-point employer brand and help deliver our green strategies for the year ahead.
  • Manage our hotel Awards process and applications on an annual basis.
  • Manage photo shoots from creative brief to image delivery.
  • Deploying successful marketing campaigns from idea concept to execution.
