Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day Environmental, Health & Safety function, including implementing policies, strategies, and training aligned with company standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, legislative, and certification requirements while maintaining a strong, positive safety culture.
  • Oversee the management and continual improvement of Safe-T-Cert, including auditing.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Administration teams to integrate Quality, Health & Safety systems with cloud-based project and safety management platforms.
  • Prepare and issue Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site-Specific Safety Statements, and Construction Stage Plans.
  • Support and monitor subcontractor safety compliance and ensure seamless integration with company operations and culture.
  • Organise and conduct regular site Quality, Health & Safety meetings, providing ongoing reporting to management.
  • Deliver EHS training to employees and contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits across sites, offices, and warehouse facilities.
  • Support tender submissions and related documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and best practices, helping set company objectives and meet KPIs within agreed timeframes.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or qualification in Health & Safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver internal Health & Safety training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ISO standards is an advantage.
