Internal Auditor

Description:

Our client has exclusively engaged us to identify a Native Portuguese Speaker to join their finance team as an Internal Auditor. The role will spend time between their Dublin and Brazil offices, so must be able to travel to travel and also be fluent in English.

As a key hire for the finance team this opportunity would suit an ambitious accounting professional who is looking to take a step up and to take ownership of this newly created role.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role will report to the Financial Controller and will gain broad exposure to all aspects of the finance function.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the internal audit process including financial, operational and compliance;
• Assisting with further developing the internal audit function;
• Identifying and documenting control deficiencies. Making suggestions to combat deficiencies.
• Identifying areas of improvements and efficiencies;
• Challenging current processes and policies;
• Ensure policies are kept up dated and in line with legislation;
• Maintaining the internal control environment;
• Facilitating the external audit process;
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, in both English and Portuguese.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Accounting professional;
• Internal audit experience required;
• Native Portuguese Speaker, must also be fluent in English;
• Big 4 audit trained professional desirable;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership;
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
• Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel;
