Description:
Galway City Council is seeking to put in place a panel for the post of IT Enterprise Applications Project Leader.
The role involves delivery and support of Galway City Council’s IT Applications & Systems.
- Work as part of a team to provide a high standard of ICT service delivery and support in Galway City Council.
- Managing a team of analysts/developers.
- Actively review, improve ICT security within the council.
- Provide leadership on emerging technologies & cybersecurity and implement best practices for enterprise-wide solutions
- Ensure a high standard of Governance and Data Management
- Implement backup solutions and disaster recovery plans for Enterprise Applications to minimise the risk of system outages and data loss/corruption;
- Develop Incident Response Plans for Enterprise Applications
- Contribute effectively to business process improvement initiatives.
- Resolve a number of potentially complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Research complex issues to identify solutions which are compatible with Galway City Council’s network configuration.
- Define objectives and scope of business system
- Work closely with managers and end users to determine best IT solution
- Conduct post-project evaluation
- Other ICT duties as required.
