Reporting to the IT Vendor and Finance Manager, you will manage IMTD Vendors in line with the Bank’s Vendor Management Process, you will carry out vendor management activities including vendor governance meetings, contract management, performance management, relationship and risk management

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction for IT Vendor Management by ensuring a robust process architecture, policies and standards that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Vendor Management of a selected set of vendors to ensure the Bank’s vendor investments are optimised.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your assigned vendors in order to represent the Bank’s interests, ensure services are delivered in line with contractual commitments, ensure the vendor (s) performance is monitored and reported and ensure services service(s) procured by the Bank are delivered in a quality and timely manner.
  • Follow the Bank’s Vendor Management process in carrying out the duties; collaborate with IT Vendor and Finance Manager to implement continuous process improvements in Vendor Management Process.
  • Remediation of significant IT vendor issues and active assistance throughout significant vendor events to ensure delivery of maximum value.
  • Regularly assess, update and mitigate vendor risks and issues with Senior Leadership, manage escalation process for vendor non-performance or non-delivery as appropriate.
  • Review and monitor assigned vendor financial spend ensuring alignment with contractual rates and manage any financial deviations as required with IT Finance.
  • Regular publication to senior leadership of appropriate vendor analytics, scorecards , measures, dashboards and metrics that clearly set out the current overall status, hotspots and escalation points across selected vendors
  • Schedule, conduct and document vendor governance meetings with your assigned vendors covering the key subject areas including but not limited to agenda, actions, escalations, service delivery, projects, performance and financials.
  • Fostering a continuous improvement culture in collaboration with other key stakeholders within the business and in IMTD for Vendor Management Process.

Requirements:

  • Ideally 3-5 years+ experience in a similar role suppliers/ vendors preferably in an IT environment
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders, senior managers and strategic suppliers/vendors
  • Strategic outlook coupled with an ability to identify pragmatic solutions in support of organisational and IT priorities;
  • Strong influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong contract management, risk management, relationship management, negotiation and dispute management experience
  • Governance experience, particularly in relation to Public Sector Procurement
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of public procurement.
  • Process management and continuous improvement experience
