An exciting opportunity to be part of a newly forming team to work on a cutting-edge greenfield project
within Munich Re! You will be part of small autonomous teams to deliver SaaS solutions that create exceptional
value for our customers.
Teams in Munich Re are typically comprised of one or two designers and several developers working with an
Architect and Product Owner. The teams are kept small to eliminate scale challenges and communication overhead.
This also allows you to be deeply research-, design- and product-focused as well as having a continuous
knowledge exchange with your colleagues.
You and the team will design and build innovative solutions to challenging problems that empower Munich
Re's customers to reach new levels of success. You will maintain a high bar for quality as you work with your
Design Team, Product Management and Engineering to help conceive, design, and develop world-class products.
What you will work on
- Improve the experience for life insurance carriers and applicants.
- Participate in usability testing, defining and exploreing user problems, content mapping, sketching, wireframing and prototyping
- Become an advocate for user centered design and develop empathy for our carriers and communicate that to the wider team. You will rely on data and evidence to help inform your work
- Collaborate with engineers, product, subject matter experts and the wider design team to identify needs, conduct user experience research and apply it to create original, high-quality work
- Generate creative ideas for products.
- Help build and implement a highly-effective design system and related supports
- Work with agile product development practices and principles
- Occasionally travel when needed

What we are looking for
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in an enterprise or agency environment
- Highly motivated, eager to learn and a problem-solving attitude
- A base level understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process and design thinking practices including how to use research, user stories, journey mapping, wire-framing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals to achieve design solutions that users love
- A high-quality portfolio showcasing that you have experience in applying a user centered design process which includes artifacts such as wireframes, UI designs, design systems, graphic designs and interaction specifications for web applications and native mobile
- Proficiency with current industry design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeplin.io, InVision, Ax ure, etc
- Hands-on and passionate about contributing to research, experimentation and visual design processes
- Up to date on visual design trends
- Highly organized and thrive in rapid-paced environments
