Logistic Manager

Description:

JMG Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Logistics Manager based in Dublin for an immediate start.

Job Purpose

To ensure that the construction works are safely and efficiently serviced with labour, plant, material deliveries and waste removal with the minimum disruption to the public and adjacent property owners, all within the restrictions imposed by Local Authority Departments, Police, Highway and Statutory Authorities. 

Principle accountabilities

• Set up the site safe access routes, including all necessary signage, barriers and segregation of traffic and pedestrians.

• Maintain and amend these safe routes as works proceed.

• Set up the first aid room and ensure that the first kit is maintained. 

• Set up and maintain the temporary fire alarm system on the project including testing.

• Set up and maintain the site perimeter security with hoarding, fencing etc. 

• Set up and maintain the site security system and organise the provision of access swipe cards as required. 

• Ensure that the security team is adequate to cover the access points and any site locations required. 

• Ensure that all deliveries and material/plant handling activities are pre-planned.

• Manage the general labour team.

• Maintain the provision of safe access routes and access points in the structure for materials

• Ensure that all waste segregation and removal activities are pre-planned in line with the SWMP.

• Set up, maintain and relocate as required the waste away area on site.

• Ensure that all trade contractors are distributing their materials in a safe manner.

• Set up and maintain waste away equipment provided on the site, ensure it is suitably labelled for segregation, and positioned in a suitable location. 

• Manage the general labour team in the safe movement of waste.

• Maintain the provision of safe access routes and access points in the structure for waste

• Set up and maintain the site welfare facilities, toilets, changing/drying rooms canteen, offices etc. 

• If we are working within a client’s demise and sharing their facilities, then work with them to ensure the maintenance of their facilities in good and clean condition.
