Management Accountant

Amicus are delighted to have been retained by an ambitious, growing Irish company in the exciting craft distillery market to bring to market a management accountant position. The role will involve working closely with the CEO/CFO and presents the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop into the lead finance position within the organisation. Given that the organisation is in a strong growth phase the position can be tailored to your individual experience and skillset and so consequently could be suitable for somebody from a recently qualified level to somebody at a Finance Manager or Finance Director level. This role will operate on a hybrid working model. Likely 3 days on site and 2 days work from home.

The Role:

• Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
• Set Budgets for divisions and report against those budgets.
• Assume responsibility of all accounting procedures
• Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
• Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
• Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
• Advise on problems and suggest improvements
• Month end inventory
• Preparation of Monthly reports

The Person:

• Proven experience as management accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role
• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
• Potential Organizational and leadership skills
• Relevant certification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CMA or similar)
