Network Security Engineer

Description:

Barden are delighted to partner with a Global Professional Services firm in their search for a Network Security Engineer to join them in this key contract position.
This will be a hybrid position and can be Cork/Dublin based.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Oversee firewalls, web proxies, and load balancers, ensuring expert handling of Palo Alto and Checkpoint technologies.
Manage incident and change requests, addressing issues promptly, and handling security incidents through SIEM tickets.
Maintain and upgrade IT security hardware and software supporting on-prem and cloud-based IT and OT firewalls.
Keep security documentation updated, engage in IPS review, and participate in security incident response, working within a skilled Infrastructure and Service team.
Provide technical advice within the IT Infrastructure domain, collaborating with external service providers, and staying informed on networking and firewalling developments.
