Network Security Engineer

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious engineer looking to build a career in networking and security technologies. You will be working in a Network and Security Operations Centre (NSOC), supporting a diverse range of customers and gaining hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑level network and security environments (including Juniper and Aruba).

The role offers a chance to work closely with senior engineers and architects, gaining practical experience in staging equipment, resolving complex incidents, and obtaining formal technical training and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support:

• Support customers’ Juniper and Aruba network and security environments
• Provide second‑level support for incidents, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs
• Perform daily health checks on customer environments and produce technical reports for review
• Collaborate with senior engineers and vendor TAC teams (e.g., Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto) to troubleshoot incidents

Support Team Duties:

• Maintain and support internal infrastructure, including servers, network, and security environments
• Perform patch management and preventative maintenance
• Maintain RMM tools, ensuring secure and efficient operation
• Identify areas for improvement and enhancement within NSOC and managed services environments

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
• A keen interest in networking and security technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer focus and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid European driving licence

Qualifications and Experience

• Must hold JNCIA or JNCIP (or higher) certifications
• Other vendor certifications such as Aruba or Palo Alto highly desirable
• Prior experience in a NOC/NSOC or call‑centre environment is advantageous
