Offshore Project Manager

Description:

The Engineering & Asset Management function work to ensure the development of technical standards and functional specifications for all plants to be connected to the transmission system and the development of new and innovative technologies and methodologies.

They now have an opportunity for Senior Lead Offshore Owners Engineers, who will work within the Engineering & Asset Management Function of the Infrastructure Office directly supporting Offshore delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technical capabilities within their area of expertise, support preparing for operations activities, and ensuring technical integrity of the offshore transmission assets through bilateral engagement and participation in design reviews with offshore wind developers throughout the project development and delivery phases.

As a Senior Lead Offshore Owners Engineer, the successful candidate will:

• Develop technical capabilities within your area of expertise
• Support the operational readiness planning (including business continuity planning)
• Participate in engagement with offshore wind developers
• Participate in due diligence reviews of project designs
• Act as a key interface for strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Support procurement of relevant Operations & Maintenance services
• Participation in the development of programming of Operations & Maintenance activities

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

• Electrical, Mechanical, Naval Architecture or Civil Engineering degree;
• Specific offshore wind experience will be preferable, but relevant experience from other sectors (marine energy and/or O&G) will also be considered;
• Background from one of the areas; subsea cable installation and/or repair, or offshore substation commissioning, operation and maintenance;
• Experience from Offshore Installation Design, Fabrication, Transport, Installation and Commissioning, and/or Operations and Maintenance activities
