The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, with demonstrable experience in process improvement and proficiency management, with experience of working within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an ability to adapt to business challenges, think strategically, and to overcome obstacles to ensure that all team members within PPFS are constantly moving towards fulfilling their short-term and long-term objectives and ability.

 

The Role

· Team leadership, people management and development, ensuring efficient and accurate reporting and process development. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement and creating efficiencies through leaning out processes and embracing technology.

· You will design and implement key operational reports for management and assist with training, development, and motivation of the team at all levels to ensure a positive working environment. Mapping best practice, end to end processes to ensure efficient business processes and policy issuance and reviews.

· Working closely with decision makers on developing the future strategic business direction. You will need to keep up to date with related business, technical and regulatory developments. Ensuring processes and documentation adhere to the Consumer Protection Code Guidelines at all times.

· On occasion you may be required to work with clients to resolve queries and escalate any issues.

· Building strong working relationships with external parties including Brokers Ireland, Compliance Solutions our IT and systems partners and various life offices. Minimising any potential single point of failure and key dependency risks both internally and externally.

 

Skills & Knowledge Required

· 7 years plus experience in operations management.

· Previous people management experience and a clear ability to influence and develop others.

· Strong analysis and an ability to assess impacts through operational reports taken from various feeds / platforms.

· An Ability to adapt to and integrate new technologies and processes into an existing business.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise for different stakeholders.

· Knowledge of the current regulatory framework e.g. Consumer Protection Code.

· Ability to prioritise and escalate, when necessary, with a focus on resolution and minimising potential negative customer impact.
