Bohemian Football Club and the League of Ireland are both growing rapidly. As such, Irish professional football is a dynamic and quickly-evolving industry. The OM role is a great opportunity to understand all operational aspects of a football club, but requires meticulous attention to detail, strong multi-tasking, and working-under-pressure abilities. As a members’-owned club, working with our extensive network of volunteers across all areas is central to this position. As is a passion and understanding for the challenges that face members’-owned clubs.
Key Functions
1. Team Operations - The AWOM will hold responsibility for all operational and administration aspects of our Academy and WPD teams e.g., player registrations, travel arrangements, fixture setting, liaising with coaches, the FAI etc.
2. Support – The AWOM will support the Director of Football (DOF) and Head of Academy (HOA) will all operational and administrative functions of the Academy and WPD teams.
3. Mandating & Safeguarding – The AWOM will be responsible for coach mandating and ensuring best practice safeguarding systems are maintained.
4. OTC Development – The AWOM will partake in the infrastructural development of the Club’s Academy centre, assisting with the operational and administrative aspects.
5. Systems Review – The AWOM will lead an annual review of the Academy’s systems and procedures (medical, team ops etc.) to strive for excellence in the field.
6. OTC Management - In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and DOF, the AWOM will assist with the day-to-day running of the OTC.
7. Ad Hoc - The AWOM may be be called upon to assist with large-scale Club development projects, on an ad hoc basis, and outside of their standard remit.
Key Competencies
Knowledge and passion for League of Ireland academy system and development of women’s football.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
Proficient use of IT systems generally, and ability to use new IT systems quickly.
The ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
Excellent organisational, attention to detail, and communication skills.
The ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
Experience of facility management (desirable).
Desire to work in fast-paced environment and strive to develop the football club.
The ability to work under own initiative and as part of cohesive team.
