Payroll Manager

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of Irish and international payroll clients, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery while acting as a trusted advisor on Irish payroll legislation. This role combines technical expertise, client engagement and team leadership, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients
• Oversee payroll compliance, including PAYE, USC, PRSI and statutory filings
• Act as a senior point of contact for client queries and technical payroll matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a high standard of service
• Lead, mentor and develop a growing payroll team
• Support process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of the payroll function
• Assist with business development initiatives and cross-border projects

About You

• 4–6+ years’ experience in Irish payroll, including supervisory or management experience
• IPASS qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems such as Sage, Thesaurus, BrightPay or similar
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communicator with the ability to build client relationships
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
