Physical Design Engineer

Description:

You'll take charge of physical implementation, handling everything from floorplan to GDS for high-speed, complex designs with tight PPA targets. This gives you the chance to shape how cutting-edge SOCs are built and optimised.

You'll also research and develop new methodologies, pushing physical design boundaries. Creating scripts and flows that enhance performance, you'll influence how future designs are handled.

Collaboration is key, so you’ll work with cross-functional teams to improve timing closure and power optimisation, ensuring designs meet the highest standards.

What you’ll need

  • At least 4 years of experience in Physical Design.
  • Solid knowledge of the entire PD flow, from netlist to GDS, including floorplanning, power planning, placement, CTS, routing and optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with physical design tools for advanced tech nodes (10nm and below).
  • Strong understanding of STA and timing closure methodologies, and their impact on congestion, routing and power.
  • Good grasp of power analysis and power integrity analysis.
  • Familiarity with physical verification and DRC closure.
