Product Specialist - Governance - Home Buying

Home Buying sits within Retail Ireland and is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for mortgage loans in the Republic of Ireland, to include all aspects of mortgage markets, risk profile, returns, costs, fulfilment, servicing and market positioning. The function of the Governance team within Home Buying is to ensure that the business handles its risk profile within external and internal risk appetite. This team is responsible for ensuring all risks are handled and reported in a timely manner and to also support the business in mitigating such risks.

As a member of this team, the successful candidate will be involved in all governance and delivery activities across the end to end Home Buying business in the Republic Of Ireland, covering mortgage operations, risk, regulation, compliance, legal and other governance activities.

It is vital that the role holder thrives in a matrix operating environment, as the role entails working closely with colleagues across Risk, Operations, Credit, Finance and Distribution Leadership Teams, to ensure the efficient governance and delivery model is working efficiently.

• Act as a point of contact for complaints requiring SME input and handle complaints when required
• Complete robust product lifecycle reviews in the annual calendar and support new product initiatives through the triage process.
• Ensure complaint forum is in line with Group Policy and effective root causes analysis is being completed while ensure this is then used to advise targeted reviews across the business.
• Support in the logging and remediation of Home Buying related errors in a timely fashion while also supporting the team to make sure organisation delivers to service, risk & operational KPIs.
• Provide SME content on Data Protection Commissioner queries as and when they arise!
• Crafting and maintaining an excellent working relationship with key collaborators in all relevant departments including Mortgage Distribution Channels, Mortgage & Consumer Credit, Mortgage Operations and Group Legal.
