Regulatory Coordinator

Description:

The successful individual will be working with key customer accounts to ensure technical requests are completed in line with Customer & Regulatory requirements.
Working within the Technical team to maintain & manage the Vendor Management system to the required standards, in line with EU Food Legislation, Customer & Retailer requirements, ensuring that they comply with both customer and legal requirements.

Reporting to the technical manager, the successful individual will have the following:

• 2 years plus experience in a similar role with high volume specification needs
• BSc Food Science & Technology qualification or similar.
• Proven track record in a similar role in a high-risk food environment.
• Lean problem-solving training.
• Haccp & Food law training
• Experience with large food retailers’ codes of practice & specification systems
• Good knowledge of EU Food Legislation & an understanding of labelling legislation.
• Vaccp & Taccp supply chain risk assessment knowledge particularly with Meat & dry ingredient supply chains from origin to final pack.
• Previous experience with meat supplier or dry ingredient vendor approval would be advantageous.

Duties will include:

• Management of the Retailer & Customer codes of practice and final product specifications
• Dealing with customer Technical & Regulatory queries
• Ensuring specification & labelling information is accurate and complies with food labelling legislation
• Supplier approval & maintenance of the Vendor Databases
• Generation & management of raw material specifications
