Senior Back Office Analyst

Description:

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, dynamic senior back office analyst to work within a team of professionals responsible for the delivery of back office services to both the ESB Trading and Customer Solutions businesses.

Key Responsibilities

This is a senior role within the Back Office team and requires strong knowledge and understanding of end-to-end trading processes and systems, as well as the Irish and UK energy markets.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team manager and will be involved in a range of activities including:
 

• Leading and management of on-boarding process for all new products, contracts and counterparties.
• Driving process improvement initiatives for Back Office.
• Confirmation and settlement for all trading activities.
• Interpretation and implementation of trading regulation (new and changing) on behalf of Back Office.
• Delivery of all financial regulation reporting for ESB Trading (EMIR, REMIT etc)
   

Essential

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following:
 

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• It is expected that the successful candidate will possess a recognised financial qualification either professional or 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Strong relevant experience (e.g. Energy, Settlements, Process Improvement)
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Be prepared to think creatively and seek innovative solutions

• Have strong analytical and reporting skills
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable
 

• An understanding of energy markets including financial regulation reporting (EMIR, REMIT)
• SAP experience
