Senior Construction Manager

Description:

JMG Solutions Ltd is seeking a Data Center Design Manager on behalf of our client with experience in the design and construction of Critical Facilities to become part of their data center design team. The Design Manager will partner with all levels across the organization to gather the information that forms part of their retrofit design.

Responsibilities:

1) Design and Construction Administration (CA) Phase Project Management Support

a) Required to coordinate with both internal stakeholders and external A|E & GC teams.

b) Required to issue RFP’s to consultants and review proposals and resource loaders for projects.

c) Coordinate meetings for page turns. Review agenda and attendees.

d) Coordinate design deliverable schedules from Pre-Design to Construction Administration phase.

e) Issue/manage owner’s review comments to A|E & GC team.

f) Tracking of the design schedule and deliverable due dates.

g) Escalate design changes impacting scope and cost to all stakeholders to align on criticality.

h) Coordinate with document control teams to ensure closeout timeline and deliverables are met per contract requirements.

i) Approximately 20% travel to both domestic and international project locations after travel restrictions are lifted. All projects are currently being supported remotely.

j) Take ownership and work to achieve the goal with good team spirit.

k) Provide solutions to projects under pressure.

l) Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies Minimum Qualifications.
