Description:
Barden are delighted to be partnering with a multinational client based in Cork who are looking to hire an experienced Data Engineer. This is a contract opportunity with an initial duration of 12 months. It would suit someone with approx. 5-6 years commercial experience.
About the role:
- You will be heavily involved with the design, build and maintenance of data pipelines ETL / ELT across SQL Server and Snowflake
- You will need to develop data models, data marts and materialized views optimised for analytics and reporting
- You will own the architecture of the analytical DWH and ensure high performance data structures
- On the Business Intelligence side this person will also be responsible for leading out the development of high-quality Tableau dashboards, data sources, and semantic layers
- The ability to partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical products will also be an integral part of this role
- You will need to optimize Tableau data sources for performance and scalability.
- This company in based in Cork so you would need to be in close proximity to travel to the office 1-2 days per week ideally.
