This Senior Financial Controller liaises with the Davy Finance team in the delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual financial reporting close processes, ensuring delivery is timely and to an outstanding quality.

  • Consolidation of Davy's general ledger into the Group's Financial Reporting systems, including identification and classification of intercompany items to support entity level (i.e. parent) reporting.
  • Completion of Statutory notes for the Davy segment of the financial documents notes process through BCS (the Group's consolidation tool). In addition, completion of any Davy standalone notes for the Group's financial documents.
  • Coordinating the key preparation, review and close of the quarterly Financial Reporting and SRB reporting processes. Liaise with respective RRCO Regulatory Reporting team to ensure Davy's related balance sheet and P/L items are accurately reported across regulatory returns
  • Lead the Day monthly and quarterly close process ensuring that underlying processes review and controls have been completed in accordance with standard process.
  • Responsibility for addressing Davy financial queries from within Finance and from broader management.
  • Key liaison for financial considerations between the Group and Davy Finance teams.
  • Provide meaningful commercial commentaries/reports analysing business unit performance (from both a Revenue and Cost perspective) and present to senior partners within the Group.
  • Responsible for the preparation, review of key technical accounting papers and ensuring compliance with the General Accounting Policy Unit target dates. In conjunction with the Davy Finance team, consideration of any key accounting considerations relating to the Davy business.
  • Handle all risks in the end-to-end team processes, ensure risks are identified, understood, and actions taken to mitigate.
  • Forge positive relationships with key partners in the wider Finance Division, ensuring an outstanding service delivery.
  • Working closely with the Transformation Project and proactively support changes in the system architecture in terms of increased automation of processes.
