We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead the safe and successful delivery of our civil engineering projects, starting from bid preparation through to project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of health and safety documentation for technical bids and tenders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential health and safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the development of technical bid documents, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and prepare comprehensive safety plans for upcoming projects.
- Monitor health and safety performance across multiple projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep up to date with current Irish health and safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
- Attend site visits and project meetings to provide expert guidance on on-site requirements and potential safety concerns.
Key Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a health and safety role within the civil engineering sector.
- Solid understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to mentoring and professional development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
