Currently, we are looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our renowned Dublin Interiors team to work across a range of exciting projects. This job description will describe the initial key aspects of working as a Senior Interior Designer within the team and practice.
Successful candidates should have 7-10+ yrs experience in all RIAI/RIBA project stages in professional practice and experience in both base build projects, and interior fit outs within a similar scale organisation. We require all candidates to have proven experience of working on Workplace or Corporate Interiors projects, which they should be able to demonstrate clearly within their application.
As a senior member of team, you will be expected to get involved with managing and mentoring of junior staff, take an active role in client engagement and be confident managing a varied workload of projects.

Pre-Project Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of tender proposals.
- Manage the preparation of tender presentation material.
- Lead /assist with the presentation of proposals to client.
Responsibilities:
- Develop design proposals with the Project Lead and team members for presentation to the client. This will include concept ideas, development of layouts, finishes, materials and furniture.
- Collect client brief and prepare the project briefing documents.
- Specify products and materials. Investigate suitability for use, sustainability and maintenance procedures.
- Attend client presentation meetings and other project meetings as appropriate.
- Review construction work on site as required.
- Represent the practice and raise its’ profile in a positive manner.
- Work harmoniously with members across the studios, mainly our London studio.
- Contribute to technical design reviews.
- Excellent knowledge of all work stages and level of detail required for each RIAI/RIBA stages.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of technical aspects of a project. Work as part of a team to ensure design are;
- Complaint with Building regulations including BCAR.
- Compliant with planning regulations.
- Research and specify products, materials and specification for bespoke furniture and manage integration with IT and electrical requirements.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- A degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture.
- Must have experience in a similar role, with ideally 7-10+ years in the industry.
- Excellent Revit experience (minimum 5 years).
- Excellent Adobe Suite experience.
- Excellent design and technical knowledge of and ability to undertake on-going research of furniture systems, products, finishes and materials.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge and ability to undertake on-going research of joinery, furniture systems, partition systems, ceiling systems, finishes and materials
- An understanding of clients’ requirements and experience of client liaison.
- Experience of fast-track projects from inception to completion.
- Client management skills and exceptional presentation skills.
- Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget is desirable.
- Build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Perkins&Will's work.
