We currently have a vacancy for Senior Risk Analyst role in the Organisational Risk Division on the Investment Policy and Risk Monitoring Team ( contract of Indefinite Duration) . This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 and the BP3 salary scale applies.
The purpose of the roles is to:
- carry out analysis, monitoring, measuring and reporting of financial risks on the Bank’s discretionary investment assets and contribute to, and provide, financial risk briefings and advice to help achieve the Division’s financial risk management objectives;
- support divisional management in their engagement with internal and external stakeholders, with detailed and well considered analysis and high quality briefings on financial risk related issues so they are adequately informed of relevant issues and are able to effectively participate in relevant discussions at various fora.
- Carry out analysis and provide risk reporting, briefing and advice to divisional management, on investment policy and risk monitoring; including on risk control measures relating to investment proposals, strategic asset allocation, monitoring of investment positions, quantitative and qualitative assessment of risks, and the impact of investment proposals on the risk budget, so they are fully informed of relevant risks for the Bank in order to take appropriate decisions consistent with risk appetite.
- Ensure the Bank embeds sustainable investment principles into the management of the Bank’s investment assets in a manner consistent with the Sustainable Investment Charter and the Bank’s financial risk management framework.
- Deliver presentations, analysis and recommendations to the Financial Risk Working Group, Risk Management Committee and Commission Risk Committee, as required, to inform internal senior management and stakeholders of the Bank’s risk profile.
- Contribution to, and preparation of, analysis and briefings for local and senior Central Bank management, on financial risk related issues related to the Bank’s investment assets, as well as broader financial risk issues as may arise.
- Monitor, analyse and respond to, and brief divisional management on Eurosystem and RMC and substructure documentation on a relevant topic basis and liaise with specialists and/ or experts in other relevant teams and divisions.
- Represent the Central Bank at relevant internal and/or Eurosystem risk management working groups/taskforces/networks and ensure the division’s views are represented effectively in these fora, while delivering effective and relevant contributions to risk management policy formulation.
- Provide support to the Pension Fund Trustees/Pension Investment Advisory Committee in order to help ensure that pension fund investment strategy is developed and implemented in line with the Trustees and Commission's aims as set out in the trust deed.
