Senior Software Architect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent area
• 10+ years of experience in software development and data engineering
• Proven track record of delivering data-driven software solutions; good knowledge of data science and experience working with data scientists
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, document stores like MongoDB or Elasticsearch and container technologies (Docker)
• Proven experience working with Big Data processing technologies like Hadoop/Spark
• Broad experience across the following application development technologies and in-depth skills with at least one: Python, Go, JavaScript (React, Angular), R, Java/Scala and/or other open source application development frameworks
• Strong cloud infrastructure experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Experiences of engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, ETL, building highly scalable applications and application security
• Knowledge of Agile software development and data engineering processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
• Excellent communication skills; ability to influence senior business and IT executives on technology decisions
• Excellent leadership skills; ability to teach and mentor others
