Senior Trade Marketing Manager

Our client is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager who will take control of some of their fastest-growing, most disruptive Beverages & Snacks brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating plans, in conjunction with the Brand Owners, that drive top-of-mind awareness and win the shopper at the moment of choice. They will have a broad range of responsibilities, including management of all budgets, stakeholder management, both internally and with the brand principal, and be the champion of the brand with the commercial and finance teams to make sure our brands show up in the best possible way in convenience, grocery retail, and foodservice outlets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the relationships with all global brand principles and implement the global brand strategy in a locally relevant way in the Irish & Northern Irish markets
  • Be the brand champion and guardian for the portfolio, making sure all designs, principles, tone of voice, volumes, and activations are a true brand fit and targeting the right audiences
  • Manage all aspects of Trade Marketing for the portfolio, liaising with key stakeholders within the wider business including the category team, Marketing Director, commercial teams, and supply chain.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate brand activation and visibility activity, working closely with the Commercial teams.
  • Influence and educate the Sales team on an ongoing basis and develop compelling sales decks with insights and USP’s
  • Manage the brand budgets and the delivery of all activity within the agreed budget while achieving volume targets
  • Manage and track all aspects of the brands' performance, driving best-in-class execution and evaluation of trade marketing plans (distribution, rate-of-sale, sales Vs budget, spend Vs budget, SKU performance & opportunities, visibility, trade advocacy & ROS driving initiatives)
  • Be responsible for compiling insightful monthly and quarterly reports on performance in conjunction with the Category Team
  • Ensure the reviews have a clear and concise story and are delivered in a compelling and accurate manner
  • Be willing and capable of challenging the status quo to deliver compelling brand activations
  • Ensure all strategies and plans are aligned with brand plans and are driving consumer and trade engagement in the most relevant and meaningful way
  • Where necessary, successfully manage trade and consumer-led events, overseeing agency management
  • Create and manage POS, visibility tools, and trade listings
  • Any other duties and responsibilities appropriate for the role

 

Requirements:

 

  • An understanding of the FMCG Industry is desirable
  • 3 years of trade marketing, brand management, or related experience (preferably in FMCG)
  • Commercially astute with a sound budget and project management experience
  • Analytical and strategic with the ability to problem-solve
  • Passionate about consumer trends and utilizing category and consumer insight to build meaningful strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
