Ruby on Rails Developer. Responsible for building and maintaining Sage products to enable delivery of Sage’s business plans and long term objectives. The Developer will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality products and services that exceed customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, maintain and implement high quality technical solutions.

  • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.

  • Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing products and/or systems and services.

  • Seek out and act upon feedback.

  • Ensures all tasks are completed to the required quality standards.

  • Keep up to date with relevant technology areas. Skills, know-how and experience::

  • Web application development experience.

  • Has developed commercial applications using Ruby on Rails.

  • Ability to interpret and/or gather user requirements and translate these into technical specifications and/or code.

  • High numerical reasoning and logic ability with good problem solving skills.

  • Proficient with several relevant programming languages, frameworks and databases.

  • Trouble shooting and/or problem solving skills.

  • Be an active and enthusiastic member of their team.
