Software Engineer

Description:

Principle is partnered with a Global SaaS co in Dublin and is currently looking to hire a highly skilled Software Engineer - Performance to join their team.

As a member of the development team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the org's software products meet or exceed performance standards. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing performance testing tools and strategies to ensure the best possible performance of the software products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on performance.
• Strong experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Grinder, AWS Taurus, etc.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience benchmarking applications with skills in modelling the system under load and tuning of the technology stack.
• Knowledge of performance optimisation techniques such as caching, indexing, and load balancing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Some of your responsibilities may look like:

• Design, develop, and implement performance testing tools and strategies to ensure the best possible performance of our software products.
• Analyse performance data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimisation.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement performance enhancements.
• Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts and data analysis tools.
