In this role, you will have the opportunity to work within a talented team of engineers, contributing to Ray on OpenShift AI while helping the team to deliver on its vision and roadmap. We’re looking for an individual contributor who is open to working in a team that promotes a positive supporting culture, collaborating closely with their peers and cross-functional teams. What You Will Do
- Innovate in the model training, fine tuning and data processing domain within OpenShift AI through the use of Ray components such as KubeRay, Ray Train and Ray Data
- Play a supporting role in the delivery of team roadmap features and initiatives
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge with team members
- Collaborate with other engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements
- Communicate effectively to the team members to ensure proper visibility of development efforts
- Give thoughtful and prompt code reviews
- Ensure non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, and maintainability are met
- Use CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions as productization efforts into OpenShift AI

- A willingness to proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.
- Open to exploring and experimenting with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.
