Description:
We are looking for Senior Test Engineers and Software Test Leads who possess strong expertise in mobile applications (iOS and Android). You’ll be responsible for leading exciting new projects and giving direction to QA teams. You will work closely with the Global Head of Software Test Engineering, who manages the testing strategy for mobile applications and oversees the cloud testing environment.
This is a Hybrid role based in Cork City. For people residing outside the Munster Region, a flexible remote working arrangement can be facilitated.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Define the test engineering strategy for our client’s mobile applications.
- Provide timely reporting on testing status to key engineering stakeholders.
- Effectively manage priorities and set expectations when handling multiple demanding tasks.
- Lead and guide offshore and onshore test engineering teams, offering direction and support.
- Take charge of leading and defining the release Signoff process for our client's mobile applications.
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to members of the test engineering team.
- Contribute to shaping the test automation strategy for our client’s mobile applications.
- Collaborate actively within multi-disciplinary Agile teams, embracing Agile principles, methodology, and tools.
- Assist in defining the testing methodologies applied to qualify our client’s mobile applications and cloud releases.
- Play a crucial role in the team's daily manual and automation testing efforts.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Strong communication, technical, and test leadership skills.
- Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in testing Android and iOS mobile applications, and in testing consumer web/mobile backend systems.
- Robust knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with source code control and CI/CD platforms (GIT, Jenkins) and proficiency in debugging tools.
- Familiarity with test management tools and test automation frameworks (e.g., XCUI, Appium, Gherkin, Cucumber, Jira Xray).
- Show commitment to advocating quality within the organisation’s application and cloud engineering teams, fostering a transparent culture of reporting.
- You have at least 8 years experience in various software testing roles.
