Description:
Accountability for product integrity, including quality, legality and safety of all products from grower to customer and the satisfactory environmental and ethical performance of the supply base. Furthermore, to ensure that the Company is in compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety legislation, customer requirement and to continually strive for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage our QA team in flowers and plants rosters, holidays etc.
- Manage and implement compliancy around customer and internal factory audits
- Ensure we are compliant with standards set by all customers including but not limited to Tesco, Bopp and Bord Bia
- Implement factory SOPS.
- Manage our supplier audit and ensure the business adheres to standards required in terms of certification etc.
- Manage our end to end quality manual and process for flowers and plants
- Facilitate supplier and customer visits
- Ensure our claims process is implemented followed and reported on
- Maintain an open working relationship will all business stakeholders ensuring strong lines of open and honest communication
- Facilitate a forum for cyclical calls and meetings with customers to ensure strong relationships at a technical level and continuity of supply
- Create the time and space for strong leadership and coaching of your direct reports
- Set objectives for your team and measure and meet them regularly.
- Continue to monitor legislative change around product and labelling etc. to ensure compliance
- Ensure internal audits are carried out and non-conformances rectified ASAP
- Responsibility for ensuring all checks are fit for purpose and are constantly being monitored for process improvement
- Work with the production to ensure the product is produced and packed to our customers specifications including the make quality hand tied machine made etc.
- Manage customer complaints, investigation, and implementation of necessary corrective actions
- Responsible for all checks deemed necessary to ensure the quality and safety standards of our customers
- products are met consistently and constantly
- Visit suppliers and do crop inspections and or audits periodically and or for events
- Keep up to date with product and labelling legislation
- Support the operations team on day to day activities
- Undertake hygiene, GMP, fabrication, foreign body and glass audits.
- Get artworks for labels etc. updated and approved
- Manage approve and issue product and raw materiel specifications internally and to customers
- Update various digital customer platforms for specifications etc.
- Manage the shelf life process of new and existing products and share findings internally and with customers when necessary.
- Implement customer changes internally around product and labels etc.
- Manage our pest control systems and facilitate the regular visits.
- Act as a troubleshooter for any technical issues and ensure our customer has product on shelf
