The Door Centre, A leading name in supplying of Doors, Flooring, Hardware and ironmongery to the Trade and Public via our showrooms and online.
We are currently seeking to fill a full Time sales position at our branch in Galway.
This position would ideally suit somebody with previous experience in a hardware store, showroom sales, or a carpenter with good product knowledge who may be seeking a change of career.
Duties & responsibilities:
This is a role requiring a high degree of working on your own initiative,
- Achieve a strong volume of sales and retain a target margin
- Maximise sales & profitability through customer satisfaction and retention
- Develop a large customer base
- Develop and maintain full product knowledge of all products and prices
- Maintaining a high standard in Showrooms.
- To assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions with in depth advice through product knowledge
- Understand the customer needs and generate creative ideas and solutions that will fulfill their requirements.
- Proactively generate customer leads and enquires
- Taking personal responsibility for resolving customer issues pre-sales and post-sale in a timely fashion
- Create brand loyalty and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Some on the road field sales may be required from time to time
The Required Candidate should:
- Be customer focused
- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally
- Be enthusiastic, hard working and committed to succeeding in a sales role
- Have excellent organisation skills with an ability to record information accurately and in a timely manner
- Have a proven ability to hit & exceed monthly sales targets
- Have a professional, courteous manner and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
- A background in maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new contacts is essential
- Retail background in DIY essential, pc literate.
Experience:
A minimum 2 years experience in Sales in Retail sector is preferred, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
