Description:
    A leading international investment firm is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join its high-performing technology team. You’ll be part of a smart, collaborative group that supports everything from trading systems to risk, research, and investor platforms — all critical to keeping the business running at its best.
 
What you’ll do:
	- Act as the first point of contact for application issues and get hands-on solving problems fast.
- Support core trade order management and reconciliation systems.
- Monitor and maintain application performance to keep things running smoothly.
- Manage Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections, IP whitelists, SSH keys, and handle PGP file encryption/decryption.
- Validate updates and releases before they hit production.
- Document solutions and help train users on internal systems.
 
What we’re looking for:
	- 5+ years’ experience in application support, ideally in financial services.
- Advanced SQL know-how — joins, functions, triggers, CTEs etc
- Strong SFTP experince
- Strong understanding of fixed income, equities, options, and FX products.
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools like ActiveBatch or Tidal.
- Experience supporting front-office trading and back-office applications.
- Basic scripting in Python and exposure to .NET debugging.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with global teams.
- Previous buy-side experience is a plus, but not essential.
